Martin Liddament
Martin
Liddament
is the former Head of the International Energy
Agency's Air Infiltration and Ventilation Centre. He held this position for 13 years between 1987 - 2000.
Prior to becoming the Centre's Head, he joined the AIVC as its Senior Scientist in 1980. During his 20 year association with the
International Energy Agency, Martin Liddament has authored a wide range of
technical publications including:
- A Guide to Energy Efficient Ventilation;
- Air Infiltration and Calculation Techniques - an
Applications Guide.
These publications are widely used as university texts.
He is also co-author of the UK CIBSE Part A Guide on Air Infiltration and is the
author of AIDA- the Air Infiltration Development Algorithm.
Martin Liddament has lectured regularly on ventilation
related subjects throughout the world. He is a graduate of Applied Physics at
the University of Lancaster, UK, (1971) and received his doctorate from the
Simon Engineering Laboratories, Victoria University of Manchester, UK, (1975).
He is a Member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and is an
active international committee member for ventilation.
Martin Liddament left his
International Energy Agency activities, at the end of January 2001, to establish
VEETECH Ltd. The intention of this organisation is to strengthen the outreach of
information to countries beyond those served by the AIVC and IEA.
